On the afternoon of March 26, members of the Antai Student Union of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University visited the Shanghai headquarters of MIEE Technology (MIEE Automotive) as part of the corporate visit event "Spring Embarking on a New Journey, Intelligence Driving the Future", organized by the External Relations Department of the student union. The event focused on the globalization of the automotive industry, fostering in-depth dialogue between academic theories and industrial practices through on-site visits and high-level exchanges.
The visit began with a systematic viewing of a promotional video showcasing Shiyan City’s industrial layout and MIEE Automotive’s strategic positioning. Participants gained insights into Shiyan’s strengths as the "Commercial Vehicle Capital of China" and MIEE’s core capabilities in automotive supply chain management and global automotive export services. Following this, the group toured MIEE’s Automotive Industry Exhibition Hall, where they explored real-world displays such as new energy vehicle models, smart driving technology zones, and automotive component exhibits. This hands-on experience allowed attendees to engage directly with cutting-edge innovations in China’s automotive industry. Participants paused frequently to discuss technical applications and forge connections with industry resources.
After the tour, attendees gathered for a dynamic and thought-provoking industry sharing session. Liu Peng, General Manager of MIEE Automotive, delivered a welcome speech, emphasizing the critical role of cross-industry knowledge integration and experience sharing in today’s rapidly evolving business environment. "I am thrilled to host this gathering where we can jointly explore new pathways and models for corporate development," he remarked.
The discussion centered on the globalization of Chinese industries, with participants analyzing opportunities and challenges in China’s automotive sector from multiple perspectives. Students shared firsthand experiences and challenges encountered in cross-border industrial expansion, sparking lively debates with MIEE’s team. The event highlighted the unique strengths of Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Antai Industry Community Classes, which prioritize "industry practice-oriented learning" and "cross-disciplinary collaboration" to bridge academia and industry.
This visit not only strengthened university-enterprise collaboration but also provided interdisciplinary insights to support the global growth of China’s automotive industry. Moving forward, MIEE will deepen industry-university-research partnerships, leveraging its expertise in automotive globalization to broaden industry perspectives, foster cross-border exchanges, and empower stakeholders to better understand current trends and future directions. Together, they aim to chart innovative paths for Chinese automotive enterprises on the global stage.
