MIEE team visits Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle and Shenlong Wuhan Factory to deepen Dongfeng's international cooperation

Recently, the MIEE team visited Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Factory (DFPV) and Shenlong Wuhan Factory (Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Company LTD) in depth, aiming to tap the new potential of China's automobile industry, strengthen internal resource linkage, and jointly explore the international market.

The first stop of the visit was the Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Factory, located in the heart of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone. The modern production line, busy and orderly production scenes, and the precise operation of the robotic arm all demonstrate Dongfeng Motor's leading position in the field of intelligent manufacturing. From the meticulous craftsmanship of precision parts to the rigorous process of the birth of the whole vehicle, the team members have a more intuitive and profound understanding of Dongfeng Motor's intelligent manufacturing level.

Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd., as a leader in the industry, has a sound organizational structure, a wide range of production capacity layout, a rich product spectrum and strong R&D capabilities. The business scope is wide, covering commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, new energy vehicles, key automotive assemblies and parts and other fields. The company mainly operates three brands, namely Dongfeng Fengshen, Dongfeng eπ and Dongfeng Nano, and its product layout has achieved the three-pronged development of "SUV + sedan + new energy". Its products are not only popular among domestic consumers, but also exported to more than 80 countries around the world, including Russia, and have won wide recognition in the international market.

Through live video connection, the team showed foreign customers the modern production line and efficient manufacturing process of Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Factory. Foreign customers highly praised the modernization level and product quality of Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Factory, and expressed a strong willingness to cooperate, looking forward to a deeper and broader cooperation with MIEE and Dongfeng Motor.

Afterwards, the team came to Shenlong Wuhan Factory. As a passenger car production and operation enterprise jointly built by Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. and France's PSA Group, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Wuhan Factory has won the Stellantis Group's "Golden Palm-Best Factory" award in the global industrial field for two consecutive years. It has leading stamping, welding, painting and testing processes and technologies. It currently mainly produces Dongfeng Citroen C6, new C3-XR and Dongfeng Peugeot 408, 2022 508L/508L PHEV, 2008 and other models.

On the production line of Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen, team members witnessed the high-level operations of key process links from welding, painting to assembly, and gained an in-depth understanding of Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen's unremitting efforts to improve product quality and customer experience. Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen, with its leading technical equipment, exquisite craftsmanship and rigorous quality control, empowers Dongfeng Citroen and Dongfeng Peugeot brands and provides more high-quality automotive products and services to global consumers.

During the visit, the MIEE team had in-depth exchanges with the senior management of Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company, and conducted in-depth discussions on potential areas of cooperation such as vehicle OEM, overseas KD assembly, and parts processing, and reached a number of important consensuses. Both parties expressed that they will strengthen communication, deepen mutual trust, give full play to their respective resource advantages, strengthen the integration of internal resources with Dongfeng, jointly promote Chinese-made cars to all parts of the world, assist Dongfeng to better open up overseas markets, and achieve win-win development.

This visit not only deepened the MIEE team's understanding of Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle and Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen's advanced manufacturing and strength, but also learned about many of Dongfeng's solid "black technologies", and laid a solid foundation for the subsequent deepening of cooperation from multiple angles between the two parties. MIEE will continue to strengthen its linkage with Dongfeng, work hand in hand, and jointly enhance the influence and competitiveness of Chinese-made cars in the international market, work with more Chinese cars to "go out and go up", empower Chinese cars to go overseas, take advantage of the "Dongfeng" of the times, embrace changes, and cooperate, open up, and win-win.
